CONCOCTING A SPA AT HOME

Aug 24, 2022sandra GASMI CONSULTING

It's been a trying year. Fatigue is starting to set in. And we are still confined to our homes in the evening... We don't let ourselves get discouraged! Why not take advantage of this providential free time to take care of ourselves and organize a SPA evening at home?
No need for an entire evening or a huge budget. It is possible to get away from it all in an hour and on a small budget.

So put your phone on airplane mode and slip into a bathrobe. Put on soft music (piano or jazz). In 1 hour you will be serene, relaxed and radiant.

STEP N°1: BATH OR SHOWER WITH ESSENTIAL OILS

Whether you have a bathtub or a shower, enjoy the benefits of essential oils.

Pour 2 drops into your bath water, or in a sheltered corner from the water in your shower.
The steam will help the essential oils diffuse, and you will have a true spa-like experience.

Choose lavender for its relaxing properties or eucalyptus to clear the respiratory tract.

Be careful not to apply these pure essential oils to the skin.

STEP N°2: FACE AND BODY EXFOLIATION

The ideal time for exfoliation is after a shower or bath, because the pores are dilated and dead cells come off more easily.

Our Go For Glow Cleansing Gel can be used as a radiance mask and left on dry skin for gentle exfoliation suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive!

For the body, opt for a homemade exfoliation with coffee grounds mixed with coconut oil. Coffee grounds stimulate microcirculation and even help get rid of orange peel skin. Coconut oil helps nourish and soften the skin.

Apply to dry skin in circular motions. Rinse with hot water to dissolve the coconut oil well and not block your pipes.

STEP N°3: APPLYING A MASK AND MANICURE (LIKE AT THE SPA!)

1. Once the skin is exfoliated and free of dead cells, it will be particularly receptive to the application of a mask.

Once again, you can nourish your skin with ingredients you have at home.

Nourishing mask recipe with Probiotics:

  • Mix half a Greek yogurt (full of live probiotic strains to rebalance the skin flora) and honey (humectant, hydrating, healing and restorative).
  • Leave for 15 min.

If you have dry skin, you can add olive or sunflower vegetable oil.
Aloe Vera gel is best if you have dry skin.
For dull and uneven skin, add half a teaspoon of turmeric to your preparation.

2. While applying the mask, prepare a bowl of lukewarm water with a drop of lemon.

    3. Soak your hands in water for a few moments to soften the cuticles. After a few minutes, use a boxwood stick to gently push back the cuticles.

      4. Rinse the face mask.

        5. Finish by nourishing your hands by giving them a massage with vegetable oil.

          STEP #4: NOURISH YOUR SKIN

          - Once the mask is rinsed, don't forget to nourish your skin before nighttime -

Time To Repair Night Treatment is ideal for the night. Indeed, it detoxifies, nourishes and repairs the skin while you sleep.

Take advantage of this moment of relaxation to go to bed early, with music or a book.

Your home natural spa is finally complete. You are now radiant and more rested than ever.
