CONCOCTING A SPA AT HOME

spa maison

Are you starting to feel tired?

Don't let yourself get down! Why not take advantage of our free time to take care of yourself and organize a spa evening at home ?

You don't need an entire evening or a huge budget. You can get away from it all in just an hour and on a small budget.

So put your phone on airplane mode and slip into a bathrobe. Put on some soft music (piano or jazz). In 1 hour, you'll be serene, relaxed, and radiant.

Step 1: Shower or bath with essential oils

Whether you have a bathtub or a shower, enjoy the benefits of essential oils.

Pour 2 drops into your bath water, or into a corner sheltered from the water in your shower.
The steam will help the essential oils diffuse, and you will experience a true spa-like experience.

Choose lavender for its relaxing properties or eucalyptus to clear the airways.

Be careful not to apply these pure essential oils to the skin.

Step 2: Home spa face and body exfoliation

The ideal time to exfoliate is after showering or bathing, as pores are dilated and dead skin cells peel off more easily.

Homemade spa exfoliant

Ingredients :

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (white or brown)

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (optional, for its lightening and toning properties)

Instructions :

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the honey and sugar. If you want a glowing effect, add lemon juice. Honey is an excellent moisturizer, while the sugar acts as a gentle exfoliant.

  2. Application: Apply the mixture to your face using small circular motions. Avoid the eye area. Massage gently for 1 to 2 minutes to remove dead skin cells and stimulate blood circulation.

  3. Rinse: Rinse your face with warm water, then gently pat dry with a clean towel.

If you don't have time to make your own exfoliant for your home spa, opt for our Go For Glow Cleansing Gel which can be used as a glow mask and left on dry skin for a gentle exfoliation suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive!

For your body, opt for a homemade exfoliation using coffee grounds mixed with coconut oil. Coffee grounds stimulate microcirculation and even help get rid of orange peel skin.

Coconut oil helps nourish and soften the skin.

Apply to dry skin in circular motions. Rinse with warm water to dissolve the coconut oil and avoid clogging your drains.

Step 3: Mask application and manicure (like at the spa)

1. Once the skin is exfoliated and rid of dead cells, it will be particularly receptive to the application of a mask.

Once again, you can nourish your skin with ingredients you have at home.

Nourishing Probiotic Mask Recipe:

  • Mix half a Greek yogurt (full of live probiotic strains to rebalance the skin flora) and honey (humectant, hydrating, healing and restorative).
  • Leave on for 15 minutes.

If you have dry skin, you can add olive or sunflower oil. Aloe vera gel is recommended for dry skin. For dull and uneven skin, add half a teaspoon of turmeric to your mixture.

2. While applying the mask, prepare a bowl of warm water with a drop of lemon.

3. Soak your hands in water for a few moments to soften your cuticles. After a few minutes, use a boxwood stick to gently push back your cuticles.

4. Rinse off the face mask.

5. Finish by nourishing your hands by giving them a massage with vegetable oil.

Step 4: Nourish your skin

To complete your home spa and once the mask is rinsed off, nourish your skin before going to bed.

Time To Repair Night Cream is ideal for nighttime use. It detoxifies, nourishes, and repairs skin while you sleep.
