What is the COSMOS ORGANIC organic label by Ecocert?
ECOCERT
First label to focus specifically on cosmetics. An Ecocert-labeled product assures you of the absence of GMOs, parabens, phenoxyethanol, nanoparticles, silicone, PEG, synthetic fragrances and dyes, as well as the biodegradable or recyclable nature of the packaging. In all cases, a minimum of 95% of the total ingredients must be natural or of natural origin and a minimum of 10% of the total ingredients must come from organic farming.
COSMOS ORGANIC
The most demanding international organic cosmetic label!
Cosmetic Organic Standard (Cosmos) is the result of a desire by Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain to harmonize the level of requirement and certification rules for organic and natural cosmetics at a European level.
A French product labeled Cosmos is necessarily also Ecocert and offers the same guarantees while being more demanding. The minimum of total ingredients from organic farming goes for example from 10% for Ecocert, to 20% for Cosmos Organic. In addition, no GMOs or products of animal origin are authorized.

Sandra Gasmi, our founder, wanted to go even further by imposing, for the formulation of her products, a charter even stricter than the COSMOS ORGANIC label by Ecocert. Thus in the formulas of Demain® skincare products:
- 100% of the ingredients are of natural origin (compared to 95% required)
- At least 61% of ingredients are from organic farming (compared to 20% required)
- And you will not find:
- No ingredients harmful to our health
- No palm oil
- No ingredients from animals. Our formulas are vegan.
