ARNICA: AN ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT IN ANTI-AGING CARE

fleur d'arnica bénéfique pour la peau

An ingredient that's underutilized in our anti-aging treatments, arnica nonetheless boasts many virtues. Its soothing and relaxing properties, when included in your moisturizer, help relax your skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

We'll explain!

How do our wrinkles form?

Wrinkles and fine lines are caused by a decrease in the production of cells present in the composition of our dermis. These can be linked to two mechanisms:

  • Skin aging is linked to the decrease in the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin by our body, caused by age and other internal and external factors. Our skin tissue loses thickness, elasticity and firmness, causing it to sag and create wrinkles.

  • Muscle aging , corresponding to expression lines, caused by the repetition of muscle contractions in our face. Smiling, laughing, speaking or even frowning and raising our eyebrows causes several hundred contractions per day of the muscles present in our face. Over time, our skin supports these movements less and less and therefore ends up forming permanent folds on our face.

Different anti-aging actions

Collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements play an important role in preventing skin aging by promoting their own production. However, this supplement will not affect the muscle contractions our skin experiences daily.

To prevent and reduce these expression lines, it is therefore important to protect our skin from these contractions.

To do this, favor the use of cosmetics composed of active ingredients that can protect the skin from muscular shock waves! Without resorting to botulinum toxin injections.

Botulinum toxin is one of the most widely used active ingredients on the market to address this issue. And for good reason: it's also the best way to eliminate wrinkles for a few months thanks to these injections, also known as botox. Indeed, botulinum toxin blocks muscle contraction by preventing the muscle from receiving the nerve message induced by the brain, thus preventing our face from wrinkling.

Unfortunately, for those who are a little more cautious about this practice, botulinum toxin is not currently present in cosmetics on the market. It is therefore necessary to undergo injections to benefit from its effects.

Arnica

If you're not a fan of injections, it's best to prioritize ingredients in your cosmetic formulations that can relax and loosen the skin. These types of ingredients will allow your skin to relax between muscle contractions, thus reducing the folds that are destined to become fine lines.

Among these ingredients: Arnica .

Famous for its many properties and uses, this plant is also known for its relaxing and calming effect on our muscles. It is particularly used after a sports session. This ingredient is therefore the ideal candidate for limiting the shock waves experienced by the skin during our bursts of joy, our surprise, or even our discontent!

It is for these properties that we absolutely wanted to include Arnica in the composition of our Sculpt & Glow Facial Care Oil and thus allow the muscles to relax until the early morning.

Combined with plant-based retinol, golden algae extract*, hemp, thistle and sea buckthorn oil and arnica , this oil brings together all the ingredients necessary to act both on the contraction of our facial muscles and to limit the reduction of our dermal proteins and molecules, such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin!

So don't panic. With Sculpt & Glow Facial Oil , your wrinkles and fine lines are in good hands!

tomorrow beauty arnica wrinkles

Arnica is a valuable ingredient in anti-wrinkle creams due to its multiple beneficial properties for the skin:

  1. Anti-inflammatory and soothing properties
Arnica is rich in compounds such as sesquiterpene lactones, including helenalin, which have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. These compounds help reduce skin inflammation, a contributing factor to skin aging.

  2. Antioxidant action against premature aging
Arnica contains flavonoids and phenolic acids that possess antioxidant properties. These compounds neutralize free radicals responsible for premature aging of the skin, helping to preserve its elasticity and firmness.

  3. Skin regeneration and tightening effect
The healing properties of arnica promote the repair of damaged skin tissue. By stimulating cell regeneration, arnica helps reduce wrinkles and firm the skin.

By incorporating arnica into anti-aging treatments, we can benefit from its soothing, regenerating and protective effects, making this plant a natural ally against the signs of skin aging.
